Detroit: Become Human
Systems: PlayStation 4
Release Date: TBA 2018
Developer: Quantic Dream
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment

I’m a sucker for neo-noir and, for others like me, Detroit: Become Human is a rare game that might just satisfy that itch. The third-person game will feature a cast of characters who, depending on the player, can permanently die, resulting in a story that will continue without them.

This feature is reminiscent of Heavy Rain, a notorious, cinematic game also by Quantic Dreams. What I’m saying here is that there’s a lot of experience behind his game.

Darksiders 3
Systems: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC
Release Date: TBA 2018
Developer: Gunfire Games
Publisher: THQ Nordic

After the unfortunate demise of THQ and the subsequent sale of its properties, it was unclear what would become of the Darksiders series. The series tells the story of the four horsemen of the apocalypse who have, unfortunately, arrived on Earth a bit earlier than they were supposed to.

It also pays homage to other popular series and seamlessly blends elements from games like The Legend of Zelda, God of War, and Devil May Cry into a unique and compelling experience. This time around, players will take control of Fury, the lone female horseman who uses whips and magic to thwart her foes.
