it hasn't made a lot of sense that the console TMNT
games have only supported two players. If you're going
to make a game based on the teamwork of 4 characters,
you should spend the time and do it right. Mutant
Melee from Konami looks to be a big step in the right
direction for fans of Eastman/Laird's most famous
creations. Cube and Xbox owners will be able to battle
it out either alone or with their 3 best turtle loving
pals by their side this Spring.
The
last Turtles game was positively abysmal and we're
hoping for your sake - the steadfast Turtle fan -
that Konami addresses the issues that plagued the
Battle Nexus sequel, namely the annoyingly difficult
platforming prerequisites. From what we've seen so
far, the game appears to be focusing more on the 4
player dynamic which should mean that any insane jumping
mechanics are O-U-T but we've been totally wrong before.

Mutant Melee is the ultimate TMNT party experience.
The game offers hours of bashing, crashing and trashing
fun with more than 20 playable characters, a competitive
Adventure mode and a huge variety of mini games and
unlockables. Gamers can play as their favorite TMNT
characters in one of two different modes Adventure
Story or Melee Match. Players can take on either mode
in single player or play with up to three other friends
for a four-player free-for-all.
