Some help you out, others mess with your opponents. But, whenever you use one of them, it takes 30 seconds for them to recharge, so use them wisely! Classes: Brawler-These guys ram your opponents. Pretty basic. Assassin-These guys lay spike strips. Very deadly, but can backfire if run into the spikes as well. Drafter-These guys speed in front of you and emit a cone of wind. Get in the cone to build up speed. Very useful in Sprint events. Sub-classes: Fixer-These guys 'fix' races so you gain 12.5% more cash. Time to get greedy. Mechanic-These guys 'fix' your car so you get a little speed boost. Just don't crash. -----------------------------------Nitrous------------------------------------- Boost, turbo, laughing gas, you can call it whatever you want, but you'll need it nonetheless. Hold L/Circle to activate it until it runs out. To restore it, you need to drive 100+ mph. Ready.......set.......GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ----------------------------------Storyline------------------------------------ WARNING:THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS! READ IF YOU DARE! During an all-or-nothing race to own the entire city, you and your older brother Mick crash. Although you end up in the hospital with minor brain damage , Mick dies. As you visit his grave, you start to remember some pieces of the tragedy. You spotted a hooded racer driving a car with an eagle-like logo on its hood. You infiltrate a crew called the Eastsiders and find out his name: Poorboy. After outracing him, he tells you that the crash wasn't his fault; a mystery driver rammed into your brother, ultimately causing Mick and you to crash. To find out who the mystery driver is, Carter leads you to Ex, leader of the Krimson Crew and a friend of Mick's. Ex tells you that you should look for Buddy, leader of the Megas, near the town college. Once you spot him, he'll say that HE was set up. To prove it, he gives you his cell phone and you pursue another crew, called the Corps, to figure out more. After defeating their boss, MK, he uses his police skills to track down the person who assigned Buddy the job. (Before you go on, though, be sure to buy and fully upgrade a Carrera S. You'll need it for the heavy hitters you'll face soon.) A few minutes later, you receive a message from MK saying that Ex was the one who hired Buddy. After racing Ex, the police arrive and Sara challenges you to one final race. After you beat her, she reveals that you hired Ex to kill Mick, but the plan backfired once he hired Buddy to do the dirty work. If the plan succeded, you would have become a power-hungry monster--like Mick. Fortunately, the crash set you straight and now you end the game with 2 things:a better personality and a Lamborghini Murcielago. +-------------------------------------+
