Defeating Ansem (Final)

This trick allows you to easily kill Ansem (Final) in Reverse/Rebirth mode. Before fighting the final Boss, Ansem, you must first set the shortcut key to the first 0 Soul Eater card in your deck. Make sure that you have a decent HP (about 300) to withstand his attacks. Your goal is to engage in duel stance for the rest of the fight. Follow this process:

    1. Activate duel stance. Duel stance is activated by playing a card with the same value as the card played by the opponent and then pressing Triangle.
    2. Press Down (shortcut button) to select the 0 Soul Eater card.
    3. Press X until you achieve seven successful breaks. This will activate the Barrage sleight that inflicts about one life bar damage (the damage varies based on your AP).
    4. Reload your deck by pressing Up, then X.
    5. Repeat the steps.

Note: Use the Oogie Boogie enemy card (Regen) if you are low on HP. Try to evade some of his attacks, if possible. Also, make sure to break his Sleights by using zero-valued cards.

Defeating Heartless

In Sora mode, construct a deck with at least three Magnet Spiral (Gravity – Gravity – Attack) card sequences. Then, in a normal battle, use Magnet Spiral until all Heartless are killed. Magnet Spiral pulls all Heartless to you, and then performs a jumping attack. This does not work on Defenders and Creeper Plants because they resist magnetism. You may also want to add three Cloud cards with a total value of at least 10 for Omnislash or three different attack cards with a total value of 20 to 23 for Sonic Blade. Note: Each Magnet Spiral should have a value of at least 10 to avoid Sleight Break.

Defeating Vexen, Axel (second fight), and Marluxia (first fight)

This trick requires at least four Mega-Ethers and nine Fire/Ice spells. This is how you will construct the deck (in order):

    Fire/Blizzard (x9) – Firaga/Blizzaga (x3)
    Mega-Ether (x4)
Cure (x3 or more) – Curaga
0 Attack Cards (x4 or more)

Note: Vexen is weak against fire and Axel is weak against ice. Every Firaga/Blizzaga/Curaga Sleight should have a value of at least 10. Also, Mega-Ethers should have a value of at least 7. Do not use premium attack cards because they are non-reloadable unless you put many of them. Set the shortcut key to the first Cure card in your deck. The theme of this deck is to break your opponent’s single cards by using Firaga/Blizzaga while dealing damage to them. Use the 0 attack cards to break the Sleights. Use Curaga, if needed. After using all your Fire/Blizzard cards, use a Mega-Ether to reload them while retaining lead cards. Reload your deck if you are out of 0 attack cards. For Marluxia, because he does not nullify any spell other than Gravity, you can use Fire/Blizzard/Thunder in building the deck. The process is the same when fighting Marluxia.

Misspelling

During the scene when you come to the tenth floor, Vexen, Axel, and Larxene will be speaking to Marluxia. Vexen will say “You go too far!” but his subtitle reads “You go to far!”

Storyline mistake

When you first get to 100 Acre Wood, Pooh and Sora will have a conversation but never introduce themselves. When they are wrapping up their conversation, Sora will say Pooh’s name, and Pooh will say Sora’s name even though they have not said who they are to each other. This is strange because they are all in Castle Oblivion and Sora does not seem to remember anyone he comes across in his memories after Traverse Town.
