Out of the frying pan into the fire, the sound does not do anything to make you forget the eyesore you are looking it. Unlike the visuals, the sound pretty much avoids the embarrassment and does not show up. Though there is little dialogue they opted not to use voices, so everything is text based. It would have been a good idea to at least attempt to make this game sound epic. After all, the entire story was done by some guy whose books no one has read. Of course there is faint background music, and the enemies clamor about making assorted noises that I assume charging wart hogs and sword fighting lizards would make.

Seeing as how this is a title that is driven by motion controls and combat it would probably not hurt to have them be a little more responsive. You almost feel like an idiot as you are flailing about on your couch and your character can not even execute a three hit combo. That is not to say that they are terrible; it is particularly the standard sword that is slow on the draw. The rest of the dragon upgrades work fairly well, and it can be awesome when you wipe out an entire screen of enemies with one massive attack. A big plus is that you are able to lock onto enemies with the B button, making boss battles that much easier. You are also able to jump with the Z button and center the camera with C. The camera works I would say seventy percent of the time, but you will find yourself trapped in corners unable to see, which as most of you know is incredibly annoying. Attacks vary on the direction you swing your remote, and the animations will differ depending on how you strike. It is just unfortunate that for such a combat heavy game the motions do not transition more seamlessly.

To sum things up, unless you are really into dragons then I would not buy this game. Rent it, you may enjoy it more than I did, but for a game that lasts around five hours it should not have felt stale long before the final dragon was slain.
