Darkstalkers: Chaos Tower Review / Preview for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP)

SONY PSP PREVIEW: VAMPIRE CHRONICLE: THE CHAOS TOWER

Capcom’s popular fighter based on the Darkstalker series here in North America and known as Vampire in Japan is making its way to the PSP – first being released in Japan and then over here. The popular game is getting some attention. It will feature a six-button lay out and feature some of the best characters from the series. Including the full DC version and a mix of the past games. The popular series may not be as well known as the Street fighter series but it’s always been known for its intense 2D fighting and mind-blowing speed.

Gamers will make their way through a ladder style tournament having to beat 18 of the meanest characters on their way to the top. Several other modes are being worked on although the game is not finished yet. Gamers will be able to adjust the controls to their style of fighting and the animation and overall graphics are going to smooth and very stunning. The game rewards you for multi-combos and will also have several things going on in the background during the fights as well.

It’s still in the early form but those who had a chance to play the few modes that where available at the Tokyo Game Show walked away impressed at the speed of the game and the fluid animation this one has to offer. While we do not have many screen shots we wanted to let you see the game and hopefully the game trailer. It shows the game in action and the lighting speed of all the action. It has not been confirmed but we would not be surprised if Capcom added a multi-player mode and a few other surprises in the final product. Stay tuned for more screen shots and a full list of game features as the release date gets closer.
