Bethesda has recently released the beta version of patch 1.7 for Skryim on Steam. Volunteered beta participants can now download the patch to give it a try. The patch is mostly a bug-fix patch that fixes several crashes and issues with dragon landings, general graphical problems, and more.
However, on the console version of Skyrim, patch 1.7 will do quite a bit more. For example, mounted combat and other gameplay related features of version 1.6 will be folded into update 1.7 for PS3 users. Additionally, Xbox users will get a whole host of new Kinect-related fixes.
