As reported by Console Monster on Thursday, September 11, according to bigwig company Sony, a number of PlayStation 4 users have been experiencing unexpected disc ejection problems. In the hopes of rectifying the problem, the company’s PlayStation Knowledge Center has released a video demonstrating how to fix the issue for those who are affected.
In its video, the PlayStation Knowledge Center outlines what you should do “ if a PS4 system ejects discs unexpectedly ” or “ if a PS4 system beeps as if the eject button has been pressed when no disc is present. ”
Below is a list of instructions you should carry out if you happen to experience this issue, according to the PlayStation Knowledge Center.
-
Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps.
-
Wait about 30 seconds for all system lights to shut off.
-
When all system lights are off, unplug the AC power cable and wait for three full minutes.
-
Then plug the system in, power it on and see if it operates normally.
Should the problem persist, then it’s advised that you contact PlayStation for a system service . You can watch the PlayStation Knowledge Center tutorial on the matter via the embedded video below. We’ll bring you more news on the PlayStation 4 should further information reach our ears.
